My sister and nieces are coming to stay with me and Ned for three days, I can't wait to see them tomorrow, it's been nearly a year!

hello! I will, for about the forth time, apologise for not visiting your blogs lately; same old excuse really, if I'm not busy I'm on Pinterest! Though my new found love for Pinterest is wearing a tad thin, is anybody else having hassell with it? Like clicking on something and getting 500 'oops' or 502 bad gateway, way too often?!!!! If I'm in a rush I see what you glorious people have been pinning and quickly do a 'like' to pin later, only to return to my likes and they're not there! Regardless of how many people I follow I'm permenately stuck at following 91 and when I click on said 91 only about 20 people show up! Luckily everyone that I actually follow, does show up on the main page showing what they've been pinning, but is it just me getting these bugs? Ha actually sounds a bit plebby to say this now, but I've been meaning to ask if there's anyone that's not on pinterest that wants an invite, to let me know! Yes you too could spend way more time than you really have on there! ahhhh love/hate Pinterest!!;D

Get me, I haven't been around for ages and I come crawling back here with my tail between my legs, moaning about Pinterest!! (and over using exclamation marks as always!!!!!)

So I'll be glad to catch up with you this week; I hear Alessandra has opened her shop again, I'm looking forward to a good nosey around over there! xx

Hello! I'm back to tell you about a giveaway, by way of celebration of all things new this season! Again I've been absent from blogger for far too long, I'm hoping to get back in to the swing of things soon and visit you more regularly.....like the good old days!;P The shop is uber busy, I get a little free time to visit Pinterest once and a while but with the pending arrival of an extra member at FEN&NED the pressure will hopefully ease soon!
We're massively chuffed at FEN&NED about our new additions to the Live a Simple Life category. The pieces above are made at the studio of Sue Paraskeva on the Isle of Wight and we think they go perfectly with our love for fantastic quality, simple design and products that are not mass produced. Sue Paraskeva is not only one of the loveliest people I've ever met, she too is the most talented! Sue uses recycled porcelain and a porcelain and stoneware mix for her pieces and these are made on an electricity free momentum wheel, of which I've marveled at on each visit!
Sue has used this method along with reduction firing in a gas kiln, in the creation of her work over the last 16 years.
We now stock a selection of Sue's work and to celebrate this we are giving away one of the 'Speckled Grey Jugs' (shown in the last image above) The jug is a porcelain and stoneware mix and the inside is finished with a clear glaze.
Also new for us is, our FEN&NED Facebook page, where we will keep fellow facebook lovelies up to date with all things new and we'll run regular giveaways over there too. So to enter the giveaway, please pop over and 'like' our facebook page, where we will reveal the winner of the jug (chosen at random) on Monday 10th October at Midday (ish) GMT

Hello! I'm back from Valencia, hope you are all dandy, I'm looking forward to catching up with you this weekend, have you all been enjoying the weather? {I'm British, so I mention the weather ;)}
Not much in the way of photos from Valencia, above is from the plane home using my Dads old Nikon FG.
You may know I'm a huge F1 fan, I sulked more than a grown woman ever should that I was missing the race in Valencia, just a few miles from where I was ;( But on the plane out, I sat along side BBC F1 Commentator/Former racing driver Martin Brundle, he was a peach, who said easy jet was a no frills airline!;) Didn't let him get away at the baggage collection, got the digital out! {Ross Brawn at the side} Huge apologies to non F1 fans for this!

There will be no mention of F1 in my next post....honest.

I want my ashes scattered in the tunnel that the F1 cars drive through in Monaco. #3. Since I moved out of my parents house I've moved home 22 times. #4. Me and my daughter ned have lived in France.... twice. #5. I have the worst short term memory. #6. I'll have a house full of Great Dane dogs when ned leaves home. #7. I was sure I had something more interesting to share!;)

My back order arrived from Fog Linen Work today, you will no doubt be aware that Fog Linen Work is based in Japan and is owned by the very sweet Yumiko Sekine. I heard from Yumiko on Saturday to say that she, Goban, her family and colleagues are all safe. They were hit by the earthquake but greatfully not the Tsunami.

I've chosen from this delivery the Wire Letter Holders to donate the full total from sales while stock lasts to the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal.

Hello there! Some new things in the shop and a giveaway for you lovelies!

So pleased to of received these beautiful baby cloud pillows yesterday, handmade by the very lovely Alessandra at La Casita. They are now in the shop and I'm donating all profit from sales to UK based charity Sense, this charity works with children that are both deaf and blind. They do amazing work with deafblind children and their families.

Really there's not! The new year hasn't started to plan, I had the mother of all colds then a second infection in the tooth I had root canal work on, what joy, but happy new year to you lovelies!

So not even any blog reading has been done! I put aside the mountain of paperwork that is already 10 days late to come and get reacquainted with my 'blog homeys' and write a post, I had a quick look at my reading list and quite honestly I'm far to behind with that to be arsed with the post I was going to write, so I'm ditching planned post and instead I'm away to catch up with the old reading list! Ah, there is something to see, I'll leave you with some pics, just because! Oh and I hit 36 yrs haggard on Sunday so I'll just quickly moan about how uneventful that will no doubt be, in advance so then I can get all the negative out of my system now! (Finally breathes and runs off to read)

Hee, much excitement today, my pressies arrived in the post, roll on Christmas! Ned has bought me Mumford and Sons CD which means I can finally stop watching online vids of these angels and do bad dancing around the kitchen to better sound quality, important I think!

And my other present arrived from my very precious pal that I met through Etsy, Anita at Rolling Hills Vintage she's such a lovely soul!

So that's me sorted, I've managed to get Ned's presents sorted out which is always a relief. Now I'm just catching up on paperwork so I can rest my last brain cell over Christmas. Really got to catch up with all your blog posts as well, you lot seem so organised! That's my 'new year never gonna happen' resolution, better time management! Thought I would tell you about Rollip a free website that you can upload a picture and retro it up!

Most of my photos from when I was a tot are Polaroids and Lomography seems to be popular at the moment. Ned has a Nikon D40 Camera but would like a Diana F+ for Christmas! Shocking! Essentially they are a cheap (no longer cheap!) plastic camera given away as freebies (no longer free!) mainly in the 60's & 70's and were so pants they let light flood in and take what some may regard as bad photos but this effect is now the trend! Personally I like the effect these cameras give and if I had the money I would like a Blackbird Camera, but that's not gonna happen. So the closest I will get for now is using Rollip and I could upload photos all day long in to the Polaroid frame, except I wont be as I'm off now to paint the lounge! Busy day dreaming! (I'm so productive ;P) Where in the world would you choose to live? Ned would like to move back to France soon and I'm with her on that one! But in my day dreams, I love the idea of a place called Sark in the Channel Islands. Stunning scenery and no cars on the island! (a few have tractors but otherwise horses and bicycles are the main mode of transport) Oooh, I love the idea of no cars, beautiful countryside and a self sufficient way of life, sounds like stepping back in time, which maybe doesn't appeal to all, but I've always said that I would love to live back in the day... but with my CDs and DVDs! Huzzah! Sark would cover that me thinks! Would that be your idea of heaven or hell? Where would you like to be, or are you exactly where you want to be already?!

Farmers Market!

The sound of a chap babbling inaudible babble on the microphone, farmers trying to get a fair price........ I present the Alexandra Palace, knitting and stitching show!!!

Oh lordy! How packed out can a place get?!

The journey was indeed hideous as suspected but what a beautiful day for a hideous journey!

Unfortunately I didn't have much joy with the old camera as you were either not aloud to photograph or just too many heads in the way!

Just to mention one of the students exhibitions, Lisa Connolly who also happens to be an absolute sweetheart! She is an Illustrator and textile artist, she has put her textile faces on to plates and also hopes to use them on screen printed wallpaper in the future and is busy organising a website and also an Etsy shop.

Apologies for no photos (Lou, where were you when I needed you?!) As I actually did get some shots of her work, but I won't insult Lisa by posting such shoddy photography of it!

Had a good oogle at the Loop stall, wooden knitting needles worthy of some kind of gorgeousness award!

But that was about it really, some poor soul from our coach load actually collapsed, such was the heat and hustle and bustle, luckily she was fine after an hour in the medical room. So I suppose the same for most is that you couldn't really enjoy it much, due to such a volume of people!

Also is it just me this happens too? On the way home everyone was showing one another what they had brought and I always end up feeling like I went to a different event, I spent nearly the whole journey home saying, 'no, I didn't see those' 'where were they?'....!!!

I'll be up at 5am as I'm going to the knitting and stitching show in London, I wish I was looking forward to it but alas I am nay! Don't like the ferry, I have an irrational fear of the sea! Odd then that I moved to a small island! Also can't abide being on the motorway! But apart from that it should be a right old laugh ; ) ....Yeah, so why am I going? No seriously, why?
Anyhoo, I'll try and get some pics and post on Sunday. Hope you all have a great weekend and I'm going to miss my Saturday morning 'reading of blogs' ritual!

Going to save my pennies for the reconditioned turn dial telephone, we had one at home when I was a child, shocking to think that I didn't have the insight all those years ago to think, put down your toys Sarah and salvage that phone, you'll want it in 30 years time!!! : )
